Mountain Aire will host the 17th annual Carl & Pearl Hagel Memorial Golf Tournament on Saturday, April 28th. Carl & Pearl Hagel were the owners of Mountain Aire Golf Club from 1973 to 1981. Carl passed away in 1994, and Pearl passed away in 2009. This annual tournament is a way to remember the Hagels and the impact they had on the community, as well as to raise money for a worthy cause. This year the tournament supports the Ashe County Free Medical Clinic. The ACFMC provides medical care to people that live or work in Ashe County that meet certain requirements and lack health insurance. The tournament will be captain’s choice format with tee times at 8:30 AM and 1:30 PM with lunch provided. You may sign up as a team or individually. Plaques will be awarded to the flight winners and we will have rounds of golf donated from courses all over the state for teams to win. There will also be a drawing for one person to try for a free membership at Mountain Aire for 2012. The sign-up sheet is attached below or you can call the pro shop for more information at 336-877-4716. Come out and support a great cause while having fun with your friends!
